It rebuilds the physical format by clearing all LLF (Low Level Flags) and reassigning the location where the data is to be kept on the disk. All visible and nonvisible information on the first sector, such as MBR (Master Boot Record), partition table, active partition flags, and proprietary low level formatting information, would be erased and set to zero. All the data on the subsequent sector would be cleared. The process is irreversible. All the data on HDD (Hard Disk Drive), SSD (Solid State Drive), and USB drives (USB flash drive, USB thumb drive, and USB portable drive) are permanently erased. HDD includes SATA, IDE and SCSI hard disks. SSD includes SATA and IDE drives. USB drives include all types of removable media connected to the computer via USB port.
